Dania will work on the Generation of Macroscopic oscillations using molecular motors
Her research project will consist of incorporating in chemical and physical gels of molecular motors, energy-dissipative units in order to release the mechanical energy contained in the material. Throughout her work, she will pay particular attention to the possibility of finding precise conditions in which global motions would produce oscillations by determining the set of constraints in out-of-equilibrium conditions which are necessary to generate materials with autonomous mechanical properties.
